Three-phase charging stations allow solving the problem of fast charging of electric cars. This is high-power equipment. Such stations are connected to a variable power grid. Three phases are supplied to them, so such devices are often used for several electric vehicles at once. Three-phase charging stations have a power of 22 kW or more. This is a technique that allows you to recharge several electric vehicles at the same time quickly. Therefore, such a station in a public parking lot allows the battery to gain 80% capacity in just 15-20 minutes.

Commercial charging equipment generates income for its owner. It is installed in places where electric vehicles are parked. For high-capacity batteries, three-phase charging stations are suitable.

What parameters should be considered when choosing three-phase charging stations

When choosing a station for connecting to a three-phase network, several parameters must be considered. First, pay attention to the operating conditions of the equipment. When choosing 3-phase electric charging, consider the following:

  • Is it possible to connect to a three-phase network at the installation site? In Kyiv, this is far from possible everywhere. If the power grid is single-phase, it does not make sense to buy the presented type of equipment.

  • How many cars will be charged from the selected device? If it is only one vehicle, its battery must be rated for a 22 kW charger connection.

  • Are commercial purposes pursued during operation? For devices intended for paid charging and connection to a 380V network, a terminal must be provided. Some models are equipped with an RFID identifier.
