What is an RFID card and how can I get one?
An RFID card is a contactless card that allows you to start a charging session without using the mobile app.
To start charging, simply:
connect the charging connector to your vehicle;
tap the RFID card on the reader at the charging station.
RFID card features:
the card is provided free of charge;
it is automatically linked to your account;
it is not displayed in the mobile app;
it works only if your account has a positive balance.

How much does charging cost?
The charging cost depends on:
the type of charging station (AC or DC);
the station location.
The current tariff is always displayed in the app on the selected charging station's page.
You are charged only for the actual amount of electricity consumed (kWh).
After the charging session is completed, an idle fee may be charged according to the tariff of the selected location.
What is an idle fee?
An idle fee is a charge applied when a charging connector remains occupied after the charging session has ended.
If your vehicle remains connected to the charging station after charging is complete, an idle fee may be applied according to the tariff of the selected location.
You can view the applicable tariff in the mobile app on the page of the selected charging station.
Which charging connector is compatible with my vehicle?
The type of charging connector depends on your vehicle model.
You can find this information:
in your vehicle's technical specifications;
in the manufacturer's documentation;
in the TOKA app on the charging station page.
Charging Connector Types
Type 1 (J1772) — AC
Single-phase AC charging.
Mainly used in American and Japanese electric vehicles.
Type 2 (Mennekes) — AC
The main charging standard in Ukraine and Europe.
Supports both single-phase and three-phase AC charging.
CCS1 / CCS2 — DC
Fast charging standards.
CCS1 is mainly used in vehicles imported from the United States.
CCS2 is the most common fast charging standard in Ukraine and Europe.
CHAdeMO — DC
A Japanese fast charging standard.
Commonly found in older-generation Japanese electric vehicles.
It is gradually being replaced by the CCS2 standard.
GB/T
The Chinese charging standard.
Used in most modern Chinese electric vehicles.
It has become increasingly popular in Ukraine in recent years.
Difference between AC and DC
AC — Alternating Current charging.
Suitable for home charging and longer charging sessions.
DC — Direct Current fast charging.
Allows you to quickly recharge your vehicle during a trip.
How long does charging take?
Charging time depends on:
the battery capacity;
the current state of charge;
the maximum charging power supported by the vehicle;
the ambient temperature.
At fast DC charging stations, charging up to 80% usually takes 20–40 minutes.
After the battery reaches approximately 80%, the charging speed automatically decreases to help preserve battery life.
How can I view my charging history?
To view your charging history:
Open the Profile menu.
Go to the Charging History section.
There you can find information about each charging session, including:
date and time;
charging station number;
energy consumed (kWh);
charging cost;
charging session duration.

Does air temperature affect an electric vehicle's battery?
Ambient temperature affects an electric vehicle's driving range, but it does not change the battery's actual capacity.
In cold weather, the chemical processes inside the battery slow down, which may reduce the distance the vehicle can travel on a single charge. In addition, extra energy is used to heat the cabin and maintain the battery at its optimal operating temperature.
On average, driving range may decrease by 10–30% in severe cold, depending on the temperature, vehicle model, driving style, and use of the heating system.
In hot weather, driving range may also decrease slightly due to the use of air conditioning and battery cooling, although this effect is usually less noticeable.
Is it safe to charge an electric vehicle in the rain?
TOKA charging stations are designed to operate safely in various weather conditions, including rain and snow.
Before starting a charging session, we recommend making sure that both the charging connector and your vehicle's charging port are clean, dry, and free from any visible damage.
If you notice any equipment damage or receive an error message, stop the charging session and contact Customer Support.
What is Plug & Charge?
Plug & Charge is a feature that allows you to start charging automatically without opening the mobile app or using an RFID card.
Once the feature is activated, simply connect your vehicle to a compatible charging station, and the charging session will start automatically.
The charging cost will be deducted from your TOKA account balance.
How do I activate Plug & Charge?
If both your vehicle and the charging station support Plug & Charge, a notification will appear in the app when charging via the CCS2 connector:
"We have detected your vehicle ID. Would you like to use this ID?"
To activate the feature:
tap Confirm;
enter a name for the identifier (for example, Tesla or any name that is convenient for you);
tap Add Identifier.
After that, whenever you connect your vehicle to a TOKA charging station that supports Plug & Charge, charging will start automatically.
How do I disable Plug & Charge?
You can disable the feature or remove your vehicle identifier at any time in the mobile app.
